WE ARE PACKING FOR THE GRAND CANYON

We are heading out to the Grand Canyon to go on a seven day backpacking trip down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon!!! We get to go on this trip as mentors for Michael and Brittany Smith (this is what they wanted to do for their Senior Trip!) Thanks guys for letting us tag along!  So this is going to be one of the biggest challenges of my life....but I am just excited to say "That I have seen the Grand Canyon looking up!"  We are going to the waterfall at the bottom that has blue green water....just beautiful! Pictures will be up once we get back...don't worry :-)

SEWING LESSONS

I made this pillowcase from a sewing class at Jo-Anns....I am kind of proud of myself haha! I went from being scared of the sewing machine on Saturday and by Monday I was able to make this pillowcase with wonderful guidance from my teacher!! I used cream linen to make the main part of the pillowcase and I learned that Linen is a 'tad' harder to work with, however I LOVE LINEN and it is so worth it!  You can't see but this ha "French Hem" which means there are no raw edges showing inside or outside.

TASTE OF HOME COOKING SCHOOL...WATCH OUT RACHEL RAY

Seth and I went to the "Taste of Home Cooking School" yesterday! It was fun...different than what we were thinking...but I still learned so much and got some great recipes I am ready to try!  Seth is such a sweet husband for wanting to go (he got a cream cheese ice cream recipe he wants to try out in his new gelato maker)!  All the old ladies kept asking him if he really wanted to be at the convention and he said "Sure I do"...you should have seen their faces haha very surprised and then they realized that I had found a keeper!

G-Y-M

We have found a great gym where I have been introduced to the crazy hard work out of SPINNING...I really get my sweat on in that class!! I also have been enjoying abs boot-camp, body pump, yoga, pilates, and swimming!!!  My first time in yoga I was sitting next to a 83 year old and on the other side another lady who was 80 (she put me to shame on some flexibility moves crazy crazy!!!) It is so inspiring to work out with the elderly...I want to be just like them when I grow up...because some are kicking my butt in class as we speak haha!!!  Seth loves the basketball he gets to play there is always a good group of guys ready to play some ball! It is the little things in life :-)

FOOTBALL WITH FLAGS!!!

Seth got invited to play football by a buddy who he plays basketball with at the gym, he was so stoked to get to play football again!  He still proved to be a stud making some catches that everyone thought were incomplete of interceptions!!!  That guy has got some ups and the other team nicknamed him the "Come Back Guy" haha!!  He had a blast and can't wait to play again!

NEXT LEVEL CHURCH!!!

So we have found a great church down here that has given us such convicting and real message every single time we go...I can truly say that I take each message and have been applying it to my daily life...they are that real and that memorable!  So awesome how the Lord has been challenging Seth and I in many different areas of our lives!  Here is their website with their podcasts....the last few have been so convicting! http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/next-level-church-podcast/id250777845

We are getting ready to leave for church as we just chowed down on a really great grapefruit!

LOOE KEY SNORKEL ADVENTURE

We woke up and sprinted to the van from our tent (as we grabbed things on our way out of the swarm of 'No See ems') we then ate breakfast in a gas station parking lot...they had hot water for our oatmeal :-)  We then found our way to Bahia Honda State Park.
Debbie and I took turns playing frisbee in the water with Seth. The water was about up to our knees which was perfect to play pass the frrsbee.  Debbie got lunch together for us and we ate on the beach.
On our way out to Looe Key...Seth and I are praying we don't get seasick!!!!
Seth is taking a nap to avoid sea sickness...it wasn't bad though the water was really smooth.
Seth saw a Shark as soon as he got in...good thing he didn't tell Debbie or me...we might have not jumped in after him haha!

Pictures don't give the fish justice...it is a whole new world!
Me and Debbie were swim buddies :-)
