EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK

GETTIN' BACK ON TRACK...

So I have been playing catch up with my blog posts and they are all out of order...but I should be up to date after I make our Everglades National Park post.  Anyway, Seth's work is going good, except that their charting computer system is like 15 years out dated! And from going to the best computer charting system to the oldest tends to be frustration and tedious from his perspective...but he will get the hang of it like always...he is too good!!!  We joined a gym that is correlated with the hospital and I am really enjoying it so far, I get to work out with all older people (because we are in Florida right now with all the SNOW BIRDS) but I just love it!! There is this one 80 year old who had pit stains that were huge circles under her arms and she worked out like a mad man....just inspiring!!!  Love it down here! God is so Good!!! So Seth and I were sitting on the couch watching the morning news and Seth says "I just saw a lizard on that chair" (in our house!!!) and I freaked out and he caught  it while I took pictures....haha! Lizards are Florida's squirrels....haha!

WINTER WONDERLAND ON OUR WAY HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

We were packed to the max....Christmas shopping put some kinks in our packing strategies...:-)
Stuff it baby....you are the "MASTER PACKER"
 Good Bye Home!!!
Oh our poor poor Honda, she just can't handle all these miles with all the weight....
WARNING:  GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE GUARANTEES A TRAFFIC JAM!!!
We woke up to an unexpected winter wonderland.....about six inches!!!  The Honda did terrible on the roads (the roads were awful too....) but with all that weight in the back our car front wheel drive didn't really work....very scary. The Lord got us home safely it was very scary and Seth did a good job keeping his cool and driving with caution!!

MANATEE PARK / DATE NIGHT :-)

Seth took me out to the movies....what a sweet guy...

So most of the manatees were swimming and holding their breath for about 2 minutes, but Seth found this guy hiding under the deck and we were there for like 8 minutes before we came up...I began freaking out that he was dead....I mean no movement whatsoever...and he had a huge gash on his back from s stupid motor boat.  But he came up for a breath just as I was about to go to the ranger....
 Seth likes the spanish moss!!
I LOVE MANATEES!!!! This park was buy a powerplant that heats up the water, so the manatees like to hang out in this canal when the ocean water gets below 68 degrees.
The are so so so cute!!!!
Did you know manatees are the only animal that have never shown observed aggression!!!
Do you see the scars? :-(

Seth is going to protect me if an alligator thinks I am sweet...:-)

FLORIDA DRIVE ALONG PINE ISLAND

We decided to hop in the good ole van and see where it took us. We ended up driving the length of Pine Island, it is really neat to see how people live. They have like canals that have boats hooked up to their backyards....kinda of a modern Venice.  We found this restaurant and it was hopping and we had some local seafood!!  High was 75 that day :-) Jealous?!?  haha!!!

GOOD-BYE CONNECTICUT

This is Seth's last day of work at Yale-New Haven Hospital...He had to wear this color blue everyday b/c the workers were color coded RN-Blue CNA- another color.....ect..ect..

Here is my sweetheart....Lucy....I miss her already!!! She was so so precious, and kept me from getting puppy fever too bad!!
Here are some amazing people....Mark and Holly they lived underneath us and made our stay in Connecticut just wonderful, what a blessing they were to us during our stay at Connecticut!! Miss you both!
Here is Miss. Penny....She looks cute in her little Christmas outfit!  She is a ball of energy!!!
The ladies of the house!!! Thanks for the wonderful good-bye dinner Holly...you are way too sweet!
 The men of the house.
The conversation that night consisted much of "Tree Farm" talk...haha!
