PALM BEACH AND AMAZING SEA TURTLE SIGHTING

This is the G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S rindin' first class area of Palm Beach Florida! I love to drive down a street lined in Palm trees! We headed over to the Atlantic side to try to catch some waves, but as you can see in the pictures below there were NO WAVES to be found, but the water temperature was perfect and the Juno Beach was beautiful...our day was full of swimming, reading, iPod, chatting, sun bathing, and ton's of frizz-bee!

We went out to sushi after the beach waiting on midnight so we could go look for Loggerhead Sea Turtles lay their eggs on the beach!  They counted 45 new nests that moring on just one stretch of beach!!!

BEALLS is EVERYWHERE down here....EVERYWHERE there are more of those stores than Wal-Marts!
They are just a discount clothing store...but not nearly as good as good ole' TJ MAXX!!!!
Loggerhead Turtle nest that has been protected by getting tapped off so the public won't trample the eggs under the sand.
We started roaming the beach around midnight not really knowing what to look for...we had heard that the turtles were pretty big (but we had no idea how big they really were!!) and to look for their tracks coming up the beach, also we were told to shine the light out into the ocean and the sea turtle should look like a big blob of sea weed floating ashore. Seth was on ocean patrol and I was on track patrol....after about 45 minutes, some odd people on the beach, and a few dozen bites later all hope of finding a turtle was diminishing at exponentiation rates! Poor Seth had to drive three hours home that nights so we were already tired and knew we had a long drive ahead of us....so we were just walking back to the car and right about as we were getting ready to walk off the beach...there she was...we ran right into her!!!
WE WERE SO SO SO SO EXCITED!!! She had already started digging her next with her back fins and this procedure was very rhythmic and instinctive.  It was a magnificent site...we were both standing there in awe of the Lord's beautiful creation and creativity!! After we had been watching the trutle for about 10 minutes some kid comes randomly running up and I shined my light on him and then the trutle so he wouldn't run into her and disturb her (it was pitch black). No words had been exchanged yet and when he saw what we were looking all he could say was...well in Brooke's censored version "OH SHOOT, OH MY GOSH, WOW, OH SHOOT!" That is all he could say...and he was in instant awe just as we were....amazing how the Lord's beauty is the same to his entire creation. This boy was in the middle of running from the cops, but in the midst of that chos he was captured and stood their with us for a good 20 minutes relishing in the Lord's beauty and creation!
The Lord spoke to once more that night and the verse
"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it"    -Proverbs 22:6
This was just speaking about the importance of our roots and how the Lord demonstrates scripture through his creation, because this sea turtle was born on this exact beach....she came back to her roots once she got old enough to start her own family.  Praise Jesus for such an intimate time with him that night!
