Here is a little run down....
Family arrived to Milford at 3am after picking Jessi up at the airport (she had to fly in from camp in Colorado). We had a relaxing day at the beach and then ate at a Mexican Restaurant in the Milford Marina. Took the train into New York checked into the Hyatt (right next to Grand Central...perfect location), and then started our journey throughout the city. The pictures will tell the story from here on...I love my family so much, there is nothing more precious to me then our family vacations! The bonding and memories made are priceless and it has shaped our family into who we are today....thank you Mom and Dad for making family time a priority! Love you too much!
Left: Planning out our day in Manhattan (trying to insure that we don't pound our feet on the concrete anymore than need be:) Right: Now is fantasy season and Seth is obsessed with it....and is trying to make Marcus his wing man in his Fantasy Football escapade!
Left: Marcus knew he wanted to go to the biggest Toys'R'Us in the world again and the Statue of Liberty....those were his requests. Right: "Somebody Save Me" Smallville Fans
The long awaited Carnegie Deli that Dad has been dreaming about since our last trip to NYC. Last time we went we all ordered a sandwich, but Dad ordered a Hot Dog...and we all made fun of him. But the hot dog ended up being the best tasting hot dog any of us had ever bitten into, needless to say I don't think Dad got much of that hot dog. This time he ordered his own and so did we :)
I have got such beautiful Parents! Below: Mom and Dad taking a stroll in Central Park....we got a little lost in the Park...North and South get a little confusing in the Park...:)
Left: Jessi learned the reason Samurai have a dip/rut in their swords was so the blood would run out it like a river....I would say that was an interesting fact.
Right: That is Medusa's Head that Perseus cut off (If I am wrong here Marcus will you correct me please:) Marcus is our history buff; I think he really enjoyed the MET, except for maybe the Picasso exhibit :)
Below: The MET always displays a unique exhibit on the roof, and this year it is a bamboo jungle.
Left: Just finished the MET getting ready to eat at an Argentinian Pizza Joint called Nina's....Andrew met us at the MET and was our tour guide for the night. The pizza was awesome and sitting down was just as good...our feet were sore and tired by the end of that day in the Big Apple!
Right: New Day. New Feet (almost)! New Excitement! Mom lost here Swiss army knife in security, and I got through with mace and a bigger Swiss army knife (on accident of course), and Dad had to go hide his knife...security is almost like airplane security at most places since 9-11. Here was our first close up look of Miss. Lady Liberty!
Mom and Dad on the Pedestal with Manhattan behind them.
We took an audio tour of Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island....I really enjoyed the tours more then reading all the information.
Celebrating our Freedom with some Victory jumps!
Looks like Mom and Dad our worn out by their jumping kids!
Left: This is where George Washington was sworn into office as our first president...the capitol was in NYC for a brief time.
Right: We are in the main hallway of Ellis Island, the stairs to this hall were the first assessment of health for the doctors. If the passengers could climb the stairs they passed the first test.
Grandma Margie this is Wall Street Stock Exchange...this is where it all goes down! It is much prettier then I expected.
We went out to Times Square at Night and watched spray paint artists, all the signs, got some Jamba Juice, and just sat down and watched chaos drive us by.
Mom got pigeon pooped on....but don't worry she had her handy dandy baby wipes :) Always prepared....that is our Mother!
This is for Debbie....and if you know me you get this :)
